Did you ever make any more from this project?
sometimes the game will glitch me to another map...
This game is incredible, I really love the similar but better gorilla tag movement system, the mixture of realistic(ish) but satisfying hand movement feels incredible. If a level editor and community levels would be possible it would be even better.
Seriously though this game blew me away.
Thanks! Yea... a level editor would make sense.
I saw that your other game, Flying Squirrel Chase, has quite a few elements from this one. Was it, perhaps, based on it? Just wondering
Flying Squirrel Chase came first. I put FSC on AppLab and got almost no downloads so I thought about making something a little more straightforward like a single player game that took 2D platformer game play and brought it to VR.
I spent 3 days and came up with this platformer prototype and the FSC blew up. Go figure.
Ah, i see. Thanks for the reply.
Btw, i managed to get into the main menu and with standing mode everything is huuuuge and impossible to move through lol
I don't understand. There isn't a main menu or standing mode?
The main menu that was on the side, if you press left menu button everything dissapears and that appears. I stood where it would appear and pressed the button, then i could select standing mode and everything would appear super big, so big i could not even reach the ground with my giant hands
Oh sorry, forgot that was even in there. Yea... it's unfinished, unpolished prototype.
I REALLY like this game, i played it before the update and really liked the physics, and played it after this update, and there lots of new things. I gotta ask though, what is that board you just can't reach a little bit off the stage?
oh, and, i found that you can launch yourself really far by holding the longest leg parralel to the ground and using the second longest leg to push down on it.
Suggestion: place the button in the first level somewhere else, like, on a wall really high up so you gotta get there with legs or something, because it took me quite a while to find the button and i thought that there was only one stage in this update.
Great game, can't wait to see what it's going to become in the future!
Thanks so much!
The thing you can't reach is the menu. I haven't really hooked it up yet so it's just hanging around.
The big legs need some tweak but I thought they were goofy!
Good suggestion on the button for the first level. I'm going to move it right now.
Okay, thank you!
Oh, and, another suggestion i just came up with: A wall type of thing that you can climb just like the rope and the turning platforms by grabbing it, and if you have to much velocity while holding with one hand you fall off so you have to either fling yourself with two or move really carefully
Cool update!
Thanks for trying it. How did you find the difficulty? Was anything way too easy or too hard?
The difficulty was mostly good. The level with the rolling cylinders was a little tough, and the last level with the tiled floor was pretty easy. Thats all though
OK. Noted.
I'm still working out different obstacle and such. Those really aren't fully formed levels yet. You're feedback really helps. Thanks again.
Really like the new update keep up the good work
Thanks for the positive feedback! I'll keep working.
